Dr. V. Mohan is an internationally acclaimed Diabetologist (Diabetes Specialist). Dr. Mohan had the unique privilege of working in the field of Diabetes, right from his undergraduate medical student days, with his father Dr. Prof. M. Viswanathan, considered as the "Father of Diabetology" in India.

Dr. Mohan is not only a renowned Clinician but also an avid Researcher, Teacher, Administrator, Entrepreneur, and Philanthropist. He established Dr. Mohan's Diabetes Specialities Centre, which has grown to a chain of over 50 diabetes clinics across 8 states and 32 cities of India.

Active in research right from the age of 18, Dr. Mohan has published an incredible number of 1,612 research papers which have attracted 190,470 citations and has a H-index of 153 which is a stupendous achievement even for a full-time research scientist. He has also trained thousands of physicians and other para medical people. Dr. Mohan also runs several free diabetes clinics.
